Glenard Murrel Byrd Sr.

Glenard Murrell Byrd Sr., 75, of Cabot, went to be with the Lord on July 4, 2014. Glen is survived by his son, Glen Byrd Jr., his daughter, Tammy (Byrd) Rabey and husband Roy, his sister, Wanda Gail Beavers, his grandchildren, Caleb Byrd and Elizabeth ‘Lizzie' Byrd and a large loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Lyons) Byrd, daughter, Linda Byrd, Father, William Byrd, Mother, Elsie (Coleman) Byrd, and 5 brothers and sisters that he thought of everyday. Glen is remembered by family and friends as being a patriot who received a Purple Heart in Vietnam, retired from the Air Force, and to whom family meant everything. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home Chapel, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Arkansas 72209, (501) 455-5800. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park with military honors by the United States Air Force. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, July 11 at the funeral home.
