Carole Ann Tinnel, 68, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on July 7, 2014 at Baptist Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Eleanor Thompson, brothers, Richard Thompson, Michael Thompson and James Thompson, and her sister, Winifred Yetter. Carole is survived by her husband of 46 years, Michael Tinnel; her loving children, Jennifer Thompson of Bauxite and Michael Tinnel (Sarah) of Benton; her brothers, T.E. Thompson (Vona) of Perryville and George Thompson (Brenda) of Little Rock; grandchildren, Lauren, Kyle, Jessica, Logan, Kara and Gracie; one great-granddaughter, Drew Renee; and several nieces, nephews and cousins who she loved dearly. Carole graduated from Mount St. Mary's High School in 1963 and then from UAMS with a Radiology Tech degree. Mom loved to work, but she was happiest being a stay-at-home Mom for 28 years. Returning to the workforce after her kids were raised, she was a cashier at Walmart in Bryant for 14 years. She loved and cherished all of her co-workers, especially Rebecca, Graciela, Coki, Clara and Ruby. The family would like to thank all who helped care for Momma, especially APS Home Care, Dr. Nancy Rector and Dr. David Smith. Visitation will be this evening, Thursday, July 10 beginning at 6 p.m., followed by the Rosary at 7 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Mark Wood on Friday, July 11 at 11 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6219 Baseline Rd., followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery.
