Betty Hamilton, 83, of Conway, Ark. passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014. She was born on Aug. 8, 1930 in Rison, Ark. to the late Joseph William Jaggers and Mamie Fore Jaggers. Betty retired after many years of service from the Conway Public School System where she was Director of Purchasing. In her retirement she enjoyed gardening and traveling with the senior adults from Second Baptist Church. She also loved spending time with her four grandchildren whom she adored very much. Betty was of the Baptist faith and she was a longtime member of Second Baptist Church in Conway. She was an active member of the Grace Sunday School Class. She is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, James Dewey Hamilton; three brothers, John Wright Jaggers, Thomas Eugene "Buddy "Jaggers, and John Ray Jaggers; and one sister, Mattie Lou Hall. Betty is survived by two daughters, Belinda Tate (Bill), and Jeani Johnson both of Conway; four grandchildren, Melia Hill (Zackery), Mallory Lefler (Chance), Clark Johnson, and Clayton Johnson all of Conway; two sisters, Mamie Jo Coats of Little Rock, Ark. and Anna Sue Post (Sam) of Kingsland, Ark.; one brother, Billy Joe Jaggers of Magnolia, Ark.; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family members. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday July 15, 2014 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Dr. Stanley Young officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday July 14, 2014 at the funeral home.
