Along with his brother, Joe Jr., now deceased, he served during World War II as a Sergeant in the Army Air Corps in England and France. Afterwards, he married his wife, Polly, to whom he has been totally devoted for the last 66 years. Len, a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at the University of Arkansas, graduated with a degree in Business Administration. In retirement, he had opportunities to enjoy golf on a daily basis, solve crossword and Sudoku puzzles and invest even more time in the lives of his family that included his daughter, Jan Watson (Jim); son, Randy (Georgia); grandchildren, Scott, Jeni, Randall, Chris and Kirby; great-grandchildren, Noah, Piper, Cameron, Carson, Nora, Malen, Hixson, Julia, Ellie, Gus, and soon to arrive, Avery.
