Dorothy Jean Cox

Dorothy Jean Cox went to be with the Lord July 13, 2014. She was born Oct. 15, 1930 to the late Argie and Una Adams. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Clisty Cox; her brothers and sisters, Jackie Adams, Dick Adams, Eddie Adams, Sallie McGhee and Barbara Hunt; and son-in-law, Rocky Denison. She was a home maker, had been a Sunday school teacher, Girl Scout leader, poll worker. She grew up a Methodist but as an adult attended the Church of Christ. She is survived by daughters, Kathy Denison, Jeannie Sims and husband Martin, Cheryl Fletcher and husband Larry; seven grandchildren, Brook Metzler, Ashley Denison, Candace Fletcher, Courtney Fletcher, Catherine Fletcher, Cara Dyer and Conley Sims. She was also survived by three great-grandchildren; and a cousin, Tommie Adams. Visitation will be from 6-8 Tuesday at Ashby's.
