Gregory Scott Parlin, 48, of Ward passed away July 13, 2014. Gregory was born April 6, 1966 in North Little Rock, Ark. to Diana (Ford) Smart and Willard Parlin. Gregory enjoyed fishing, golfing, and reading his bible. He loved to watch Charles Stanley and Netflix. He also had his pilot license.
Gregory is predeceased by his father; and grandparents, Mary and Frank Ford. Gregory is survived by his two daughters, Ashley Parlin of Lonoke and Courtney Parlin of Ward and their mother, Shelia Pemberton of Lonoke; mother, Diana Smart of Malvern; brother, Jeffrey Parlin of Austin, Ark.; niece, Brooklyn Parlin of Heber Springs; one grandson, Phillip Gregory Parlin; and numerous cousins and other family that loved him dearly.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Atkinson Chapel. Services will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Atkinson Chapel with Bro. Jesse Stripland and Greg's cousin, Todd Weatherford officiating. Burial will follow at Lono Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Todd Weatherford, Dale Frizzell, Rob Williams, Ricky Raney, Harvey Graham, Mike Fuller, and Brett Weatherford. Arrangements entrusted to Atkinson Funeral Home of Malvern, Ark.
