Eugenia (Jean) VanHouten

Eugenia (Jean) VanHouten, age 86, of Roe, went to be with her Lord on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Crestpark Nursing Home in Stuttgart. She was a Wal-Mart door greeter for 20 years. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, John; brother, Carlton Oliver, and two sisters, Mary Narwick and Evelyn Ann Duchin. She is survived by two sons, Terry VanHouten and wife, Mary of Roe and Roy VanHouten of Hot Springs; one brother, Wesley Oliver of De Valls Bluff, and three sisters, Catherine Narwick of Oklahoma, Mildred Carlton of Jacksonville, and Lavinia Blackned of Canada. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Hazen by Bro. Bart Manis and Bro. Mark Manis. Burial will be in the Hazen Cemetery.
