Sue Huffaker Doss, 82, a resident of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and a native of Beebe, Arkansas, passed away July 18, 2014, in Fayetteville. She was born May 4, 1932, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Ray and Gladys (Staggs) Huffaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Bob Huffaker. Sue grew up in Beebe, graduating from Beebe High School in 1950, where she was student body president, a cheerleader, and editor of the school newspaper. She graduated from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas in 1954. She married her childhood sweetheart, David Westbrook Doss, Sr. In 1957. Sue was active in the Beebe community, including the PTA, Junior Civic League, First Baptist Church and several other organizations. She also worked full-time alongside her husband at Huffaker Implement Company in Beebe, and was a loving wife and mother. She is survived by her beloved husband, David Westbrook Doss Sr., of Fayetteville, son, David Westbrook Doss Jr., of Fayetteville, daughter, Suzanne Doss Shiner, and son-in-law, Frank Shiner, of Chappaqua, New York, and daughter, Deana Doss Day, of Meridian, Mississippi. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jacob Doss and wife Jennifer; Jessika Doss, Jayme Doss Kutter and husband Blake, Janna Doss, Matthew Shiner, Jeremy Shiner, Lindsay Shiner, Maggie Day, Will Day, and Savannah Sue Day. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe. The funeral will be Thursday, July 24th, at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Beebe, with burial following at Beebe Cemetery.
