Mary Annette Everett Jones

Mary Annette Everett Jones, age 74, of Carl Junction, Mo., formerly of Monticello, Ark., passed away at 2:40 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin. Born December 2, 1939 in Monticello, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Linnie Morehead Everett. She was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church in Monticello, AR and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She moved to Carl Junction in 2006 to be near her daughter. In keeping with her giving nature, Mary is a donor in order to give someone else the gift of sight. Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Wheeler and husband Chuck of Carl Junction; a brother, James Everett of Brentwood, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Ashley Wheeler of Kansas City, Mo., Andrew Wheeler of Chattanooga, Tenn., Amber Girouard of Carl Junction; a great-grandson, Thatcher Girouard; and a loving friend and caregiver, Dana Campbell of Webb City, Mo. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Parker Chapel with Rev. Bob Simon officiating. A private family interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lafayette House in Joplin, Missouri.
