of North Little Rock, AR, 1943 - 2014

ROBERT EMMETT GRAU, 71, of North Little Rock, Ark., passed away on July 21, 2014. He was born in Great Barrington, Mass., on Jan. 27, 1943. He was raised in Copake, N.Y., along with his brother Jon and step-sister Melody, by his mother, Isabel and step-father William Caryl.
Robert served in the United States Airforce, where he became a linguist and was stationed in Turkey. Later, he met Marjorie Upton on the job in Bloomington, Ind., and they were married on June 3, 1967.
Robert spent his career in the tube mill industry. After he retired, Robert and Marjorie settled in North Little Rock to be near family. To keep himself busy, Robert incorporated his hobby of building computers in to his part-time work at Staples, where he made many good friends.
Robert was an avid Yankees fan, and loved watching the Green Bay Packers play. He enjoyed talking with people, had a dry sense of humor, and a sharp mind.
Robert will be remembered by his wife, Marjorie; daughter, Lisa Bryan and her husband, Brian; their children, Kyla and Jered; son, Eric Grau and his wife, Susan; their children, Kristian and Jacob; and many other relatives and friends.
