Donovan D Hinton

Donovan D. Hinton, 82 of North Little Rock, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014. He was born in Oklahoma City, OK to the late Henry Worth and Letreace Havran Hinton. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Worth Hinton; half-sister, Vadena Lunsford. Don was a member of First Assembly of God Church in North Little Rock. He was employed at Dillard's as a buyer for many years and at Tandy Leather Goods. Don started working at 10 years of age. His work ethic was very strong. He is survived by his children, Donovan D. Hinton, Jr and Mary Diana Marlow (Mike); one grandchild, Rachel Marlow; sisters, Barbara Meyers, Carolyn Geckler and Jaynee Bell (Bob), half-sister, Voloise Moon; half-brother, David Hinton; best friend and companion of 15 years Fannie Pratt; his beloved pet, Sophie; the mother of his children, Frances Hinton and a host of friends. Funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd. North Little Rock, AR 72116 (501-791-7400) with Pastor David Maynard officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
