Harold Don Richie

Don Richie, 86, of Mayflower, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014. He was born on April 6, 1928 in Tuckerman, Arkansas to the late E.M. Richie and Ethel Stoner Richie. Don was a United States Army Veteran and served during WWII as a Combat Engineer. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Don was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan and rarely missed watching their games. He was more than a mister fix-it; Don took what life gave him and made it work. Don was a Christian who had accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Lee Richie, and two brothers; Dale Richie and Van Richie. Don is survived by two sons; Michial Richie and wife Betty of Conway, and David Richie of North Little Rock, one daughter; Deborah Richie of Mayflower, three grandchildren; Jamie Flores and husband Bryant of Mayflower, Jeremy Richie of Conway, and Justin Richie of North Little Rock, as well as nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Bro. Dale Carter officiating. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle, Ark.
