KARIN L. SMITH, age 71, of Jacksonville, Ark. formerly of Wiesbaden, Germany went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. God brought together her and her Air Force husband of 53 years, the love of her life, and caused their love to grow stronger with each year. Her desire to be a good wife and mother and telling others about Jesus' love and blessings was her calling from God. Her captivating personality allowed her to win friends and witness to them. When she was younger she used to knock on doors with her husband to tell people of Jesus' love and how he blesses families who trust in him. She is survived by her husband, Melvin Smith, formerly of Plainview, Ark.; a son, Michael Smith and his wife Jane of Bigelow; a daughter, Shelly Thigpen of Cabot; two granddaughters, Christina Smith and Kristen Thigpen; two sisters, Hannelore Smith of Marshfield, Mo. and Monica Evans of Manitoba, Fla.; and a brother, Hans Seibel of Wiesbaden, Germany. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2014 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Bro.
