Leon Detherage

Leon Detherage, age 86, of Benton, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014. He was born Nov. 24, 1927 in Price, Ark. Mr. Detherage was W.W. II Army Veteran and retired from Reynolds Metal. He was a longtime member of Ten Mile Baptist Church. Mr. Detherage was preceded in death by his father, Claude Detherage; mother, Alice Detherage Henderson; and his wife, Helen Detherage. He is survived by two sons, Charles Detherage and wife Linda of Benton and Gary Detherage and wife DeLynn of Russellville; brother, W.T. Detherage and wife Mary Pearl of East End; three grandchildren, Coy Detherage, David Detherage, and Susan Hudson and husband Tony; and two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Gage Hudson. Pallbearers will be David Detherage, Coy Detherage, Lyle Smith, Lane Smith, Mark Smith and Bryce Minner. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Monday, June 2 at Ashby Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Ten Mile Cemetery.
