VIRGINIA ELIZABETH (WINE) GOODSON, born in Sontag, Va. on January 12, 1913. She died on May 28, 2014 in Little Rock, Ark. at the age of 101. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elzadie Hull-Wine and Alva Wine; two brothers, Marvin Wine and Melvin Wine; her husband, Ernest Warren Goodson; her daughter, Peggy Gale Loy Wallace; and granddaughters, Faith Roberson and Shari Miller.
She has lived in Ferndale for 51 years, and lived alone since 1992. She spent her years being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She attended and was a member of NorthPoint Baptist Church in Little Rock and worked at Bailey Veterinarian Clinic and "Happy Days" pet grooming, she loved her pets, especially her cats.
Surviving family includes her daughters, Mary Louise Goodson-Garlington (from Rison, Ark.) and Virginia Goodson-Blaylock (from Morrilton, Ark.); 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2014, in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
