Mary Nisler Marrin

Mary Nan Nisler Marrin, 81, of Pine Bluff died, Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born December 9, 1932, in Plumerville, Arkansas to AD and Joyce Holder Nisler. She was reared and received her early education in Morrilton, graduating from Morrilton High School in 1952, she then attended UCA for three years. She married George Walter Marrin, January 9, 1960 in Pochontas, Arkansas, later lived in Empire, Michigan and moved to Pine Bluff in 1965. She worked as a Teacher's Aide in Watson Chapel Schools for 23 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and Catholic Daughters of America. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Betty Ruth Mitchell granddaughter, Alicia Marie Ahrendt. Survivors: her longtime companion, Joe Ray, sons, George Edward "Chip" ( Judy)Marrin of Fort Smith, Paul Lewis(Dolly) Marrin of Titusville, Florida, daughter, Mary Elizabeth Marrin, of Jefferson, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sister, Billie Joyce Fite of Arkadelphia. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Plumerville Cemetery at Plumerville, with Pastor Charles Saulsbery officiating. The family will receive friends at Robinson's, Wednesday evening, 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity. Online register: ralphrobinsonandson.com.
