Neta Belle Langley

Neta Belle Henderson Birdsong Langley the daughter of Deward Henderson and Beatrice Davenport Henderson was born in McJester, Arkansas on September 14, 1929 and passed away at Heber Springs, Arkansas on June 1, 2014 at the age of 84 years. She was the oldest of the six Henderson girls that started school at Wilburn before moving to Heber Springs where she met her husband of 43 years J.W. Birdsong. She worked alongside her husband and son in the farm equipment business for over 20 years and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her sisters. Neta Belle lived most of her life in the White and Cleburne County area. In her later years she found enjoyment in the weekly dances at Searcy and Heber Springs. This past year she took delight in taking in God's beauty from her back porch where she would sit for hours at a time. She also enjoyed her great-grandchildren even thought they could be a little noisy. She was a member of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Deward and Beatrice Henderson, her husband J. W. Birdsong and a grandson Jason Harper. Survivors are a daughter, Margaret Rainwater and husband Robert of Newnan, Georgia, son Witt Birdsong and wife Luanne of Searcy, five sisters Wincell Foust, Wanda Barnett and June Olmstead all of heber Springs, Bonnie Berry of Russellville and Clara Ann Lucy and husband Don of Alexander, three grandchildren, Bridget Price and husband Paul, Wes Birdsong and Justin Harper and wife Auora; six great-grandchildren, Marlee Price, Jon Paul Price, Rylan Price and Luke Price, Everly Harper and Emaline Harper besides other relatives and many friends who all will miss her. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 beginning at 1 p.m. at Family Funeral Service. Funeral service will be held the same day in the Family Funeral Service Chapel at 2 p.m. by Rev. J.R. DeBusk and interment will be in the Heber Springs Cemetery.
