Winston Maurice Smith

Winston Maurice Smith, 59, of Little Rock, departed this life on May 30, 2014. He was born to Guy W. and Minnie Smith, on December 1, 1954, in Little Rock. He attended the rural area schools and then went on to graduate from Wilbur D. Mills. After high school, Sgt. Smith served 11 years in the United States Air Force as a language specialist during the Vietnam War. He was baptized early on at the First Baptist Church Highland Park. On April 2, 1990, Winston and Karen Smith were married and of this union one child was born, Lauren Smith. He was preceded in death by his father, Guy W. Smith and one sister, Freda Smith. At the time of his death he was retired from the Veteran's Administration Hospital where he was a physical therapist. He leaves to cherish his loving memory to his wife, Karen, and daughter, Lauren, mother, Minnie Smith, three sisters, Sheryl Smith, Marva Smith and Ingrid Dennis, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives.
