Debra Arlene Mathis, 60, of Lake Norrell, daughter of Norma Jeanne Jones and step-daughter of D.E. "Gene" Jones went home on May 31, 2014 to spend eternity with the Lord; her dad, High Arliss Mathis; and baby brother, Garry Dean McFarlin. She was born on January 27, 1954 in Selma, California. She worked as a lab technician at Arkansas Heart Hospital and was a licensed massage therapist. Her laughter, sense of humor, thirst for adventure, and her person relationship with God made her the selfless, remarkable person that will be missed by so many. She leaves behind one sister, Audrey Dianne Kerwood of Houston, Arkansas; two brothers, Rodger Clinton Mathis of Memphis, Tennessee and Larry Gene McFarlin of Evening Shade, Arkansas; as well as many wonderful friends, nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. Special appreciation to the doctors and nurses at St. Vincent and for the loving care provided by family friends; Marie Norwood, Dee Dee Perry, and Naomi Hall. Memorial service officiated by Rev. Gene Husky is Friday, June 6th, 2 p.m., First Assembly of God, 1801 Hot Springs Hwy., Benton, Ark. 72019. Visitation held one hour prior to service. Arrangements by Smith Family Funeral Home, 322 N.
