Madie graduated from Beebe high school in 1938. She was a beauty school student when she met the love of her life Allen Edward Fields. They married, and she became a mom and a wonderful, loving homemaker. Madie had six children and was proud of each one of them and would do anything she could to make them successful in life. She was well known for her fabulous cooking and best known for her homemade pecan and coconut pies. She believed in staying physically fit and won first place in her age group for the "May Day" 2K walk in 1987 & 88. Some of her loves were flower gardening, especially roses and raising vegetables. In 1995 she won yard of the month for her neighborhood in Cabot... Some of the earliest memories Madie had was riding Grayboy, her horse, with her sister Marian and her dad who would walk to every one of her basketball games to watch her play. Home was her favorite place to be, rearing her children and taking care of the family needs, from scratches to bee stings and everything in between. When it came to vacation she loved to visit her sister-law, Alice in St. Petersburg, Fla., who she loved very much. She was a diehard Razorback fan, loved the color pink, and liked to watch Elvis movies. Most important was her love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If you would ask what her favorite book was, she would answer the "Bible". She was a faithful member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Madie shared her life with everyone she met and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
