Jesse Lee Bunche

Jesse Lee Bunche was born on August 18, 1948 to the late Edward and Laura Bunche in England, Arkansas. Jesse accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and united with the Pilgrim Progress Missionary Baptist Church in North Little Rock, Ark. under the leadership of Rev James T Miller. He later united with the Liberty Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Frederick Haynes where he was an active member until his death. Jesse graduated from Scipio A. Jones High School in 1966. He received his AA degree from Shorter College of North Little Rock, Ark. He was employed by Remington Arms Company Inc. for 44 years. Jesse departed this life on Tuesday, June 3, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Bunche Sr. and Laura Bunche, sister, Christine Green, niece, Kimberly Shields, and grandson, Michael Stanley Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories; wife, Betty Bunche of North Little Rock, Ark.; daughters, Yolanda Bunche and Raida Bunche of Little Rock, Ark.; stepdaughters, Eugenia Norris of Little Rock, Ark., and Tabitha Turner of North Little Rock, Ark.; stepson, Darrell Bunche of Little Rock, Ark.; four sisters, Bertha Gosha, ossle (Louis) Maxwell, Margaret (Jack) Odem, and Diane Bunche all of Little Rock, Ark.; two brothers, Edward Bunche Jr. and Michael Bunche of Little Rock, Ark.; one great aunt, Ellen Dunbar of Little Rock, Ark.; four aunts, Ossie Henry of North Little Rock, Ark., Aggie Black of Bakersfield, California, Maude Bunche and Freddie Mae Bunche of Chicago, Illinois; one uncle, Roosevelt (Erma Jean) Shavers of North Little Rock, Ark.; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
