Beatrice Lee Davis, 87, of Hot Springs went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 6, 2014. She was born in Friendfield, S.C. on March 25, 1927 where she grew up on a tobacco farm. Beatrice and John Earle Davis Jr. were wed on Jan. 22, 1954 and later relocated to Hot Springs, Ark. in 1971. She was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Hot Springs where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school. Beatrice had a love for cooking and sports and dreamed of becoming a professional baseball player.
She is preceded in death by her husband.
She is survived by one son, John Davis of Maumelle; two daughters, Eileen Davis of Hot Springs and Joni Magnant (Gary) of Marquette, Mich.; six grandchildren, Sarah Davis, Crystal Borst, Steve Borst, Elizabeth Davis, Emme Davis, and Ella Fu Davis; two great-granddaughters, Cedar and Khloe; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. 72211, (501) 224-8300.
