Betty Coulter Henderson

Betty Coulter Henderson, 80, of Hot Springs, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014. She was born in Lockesburg, on Oct. 28, 1933, to Tom and Pearl Smith Coulter. Betty taught at Lake Hamilton for almost 30 years. She was a member of the Virginia Clinton Kelley Democratic Club and the Garland County Democratic Committee. Preceding her in death was her husband of 50 years, Bill Henderson; a sister, Ida Margaret Stone; and a brother, Tom Smith Coulter. She is survived by her two daughters, Denise Henderson of Hot Springs and Ann (Jim) Gilbert of Little Rock; three sisters, Carolyn Keuteman of La Marque, Texas, Myra Clay of Lockesburg and Cindy Hale of DeQueen; grandchildren, Jennifer Sutherlin of Rogers and Brent Gilbert of Little Rock; and a host of nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. Services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2014, in Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with burial at 3 p.m., in Coulter Memorial Gardens in Lockesburg.
