Elaine Clary, 82, of Little Rock passed from this life on June 6, 2014. She was born in Henry County, Tennessee and married the love of her life, Joe Clary, on June 28, 1947.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elvis and Mary Evans; her husband, Joe; her daughter, Vonicia Burrow; her sister, Evan McMackin; and her brother, Warren Evans. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Velda Matheny (Bill) of Plano, Texas; her son, Steve Clary (Cindy) of Little Rock; and her sisters, Betty French (SC) and Kathy Roberts (John), both of Memphis, Tenn. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.
Elaine was a faithful member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. She considered church, family, and friends as her greatest joys in life. She was a kind and considerate person, intensely devoted to her family, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. 72211, Phone: 501-224-8300 with Mr. Nick Hamilton officiating. Entombment will follow at Riverwood Memorial Gardens, Maumelle, Ark. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
