Odis Clark Atkins

Odis Clark Atkins, 88, of Eudora, Arkansas died peacefully on June 9, 2014 surrounded by his family. Odis was born in Bradley County, Arkansas on September 7, 1925 to the late Walter and Annie Groves Atkins. Odis worked for Texas Gas Transmission Corporation for over 40 years. He formerly coached Little League Baseball when his sons were growing up. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Odis loved to garden, hunt, and fish. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Linda Diane Luman and Sandra Kay Wylie; granddaughter, Jordan Dawson. Survivors include his wife, Polly Perry Atkins of Eudora, Arkansas; sons, Glen Atkins and wife, Michele of North Yarmouth, Maine and Wayne Atkins of Carthage, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in Lake Village, Ark. Funeral services will be 8 p.m., Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in Lake Village, Ark. with Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating.
