Charles O. Ross

Charles O. Ross, 93, of Jonesboro died Monday June 16, 2014 at St. Bernard's Medical Center. He had lived in Jonesboro most of his life and was a retired Jonesboro High School teacher, Founder and Director of the Cotton Bowl Technical Institute in Burdette and South West Technical Institute in Camden. Charles was a WWII Navy Veteran and a member of the Southwest Church of Christ. Survived by his loving wife; Mary Katherine Ross of the home; son; Charles Richard (Dickie) Ross and wife, Lynn of Louisville, Kentucky; daughter; Kay Sloan and husband Larry of Jonesboro; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Jimmy Adcox officiating. Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
