Dorothy Ann Jones

On June 14, 2014, after a lengthy illness, Dorothy Ann Jones graciously accepted her wings. Dorothy was born June 30, 1952, at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden, Arkansas to the late Leotis Brown and the late Joyce Neal Porchia. Later, her stepfather, H.B. Porchia brought love and laughter to the family. Dorothy joined Good Hope Baptist Church of Camden, Arkansas at an early age, she moved to Little Rock, Arkansas in the early 1970's and was a member of the Gaines Street Baptist Church. She later joined 34th Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Jeffrey C. Franklin. Dorothy was a people's person and never met a stranger. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Memories of her well lived life will forever be cherished by her daughter, Deedra (Kenneth) Trezvant of Shannon Hills, Ark.; son, Pedro (Lynn) Frazier of Little Rock, Ark., and Daughter, Melissa Carter of Little Rock, Ark.; fiancee', James Carter of Little Rock; granddaughter, Chanique Frazier; grandsons, Paris Frazier, Kenneth Trezvant Jr., Jeremiah Trezvant, E'zavion Dennis, Great grandson, Preston Rosado; great granddaughter, Taniyah Frazier; her siblings, Linda Brown, H.B. Porchia, Frederick Porchia, Sarah Porchia, John (Denise) Porchia, Willie Porchia, Larry (Ta'hesha) Porchia and Vivian (Kenneth) Hervey and a host of other loving relatives and special friends. A celebration of her life will be on Saturday, June 21, 2014, 11 a.m., at Second Baptist Church, 1709 John Barrow Road, Little Rock, Ark. Interment will follow at Elmlawn Cemetery.
