John Coleman "J.C." Adams of Little Rock, died on June 18, 2014 at the age of 77. He was born to Barney and Alma Fowler Adams in Friendship, Ark. He grew up and graduated from Ouachita High School and came to Little Rock and met his wife-to-be, Myra Nelle Lee Adams. They were married on May 30, 1961 and enjoyed 53 years together. J.C. loved his job driving a truck for Safeway Stores and drove over 2 million miles without an accident. He was a proud member of the Local Teamsters Union 738. He was a quiet Christian man who loved God and was a member of Little Rock First Church of the Nazarene . Preceding his death were his parents and three sisters, Hazel Hardage, Barney Lou May and Kathleen Batchelor. He is survived by his wife Myra; sons Scott (Kay) and Robert (Dawn); five grandchildren, Abby, Daniel, Colin, Luke and Claire; two sisters, Mildred Smith and Mary Frances Carver; his only brother, Paul Adams as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He will be extremely missed. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 23, 2014 at 2 p.m. at First Church of the Nazarene, 1200 N. Mississippi, Little Rock.
