An independent soul, in submission to God, Pamela Jane Griffin Warren, of Hot Springs, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2014. Pam was born on June 3, 1947 in El Dorado to Maurice and Dorothee Chaney Griffin. She graduated from El Dorado High School in 1965, then in 1969 graduated from Hendrix College with a B.A. in Theatre Arts. In 1971 she graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Communication Disorders (Speech Pathology). Pam was a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, C.C.C. and Life Member of the American Speech and Hearing Association. Pam's life changed eternally when she became a born again Christian in 1980. She attended Lake Valley Community Church, was a ministry team member of Vessels for the Lord and member of the Advisory Council for Aldersgate Renewal Ministries. Pam is survived by her husband of 39 years, Frank D. Warren and many cousins and devoted friends. She is preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Caruth-Funeral Home in Hot Springs. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Lake Valley Community Church, Hot Springs. Visitation will also be held 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in El Dorado. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, El Dorado. Pallbearers are Merek Rowe, David Minor, Larry Parker, Chris Walthall, Bob Blackwood, Robert Blackwood, Calvin Armistead, Mike Chaney and Cliff Buck. Honorary pallbearers are Judy Springer, Dr. Sarah Minor, Cheri Wunderlin, Rev. Dorothy Jones, Dr. James Hogans, Ann Trieschmann, James Stone, Dr. Bill Springer and Tricia Tedford. In lieu of flowers please make memorials in Pam's honor to the United Methodist Children's Home of Arkansas, the Arkansas Children's Hospital Foundation or Lake Valley Community Church.
