Ray J. Williams, 72, died June 22, 2014 at the Central Arkansas Veterans' Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Rayburn was born December 11, 1941 in Timbo, Arkansas to the late Elva Estella (Gammill) and Zach Lee Williams. He was a long time resident of Furlow, Arkansas.
He leaves behind his son, David Lee ( Jennifer) Williams; grandchildren, Kalin and Dylan Williams, Devin, Rebecca and Timmy Ewing; brothers, Charles, Ricky ( Janet), and Farlon (Tonya) Williams. Rayburn greatly valued his special relationship with Lynn Cagle, serving as honorary father to her daughters, Laura Cagle and Rita and honorary papa, to Bryce, Gabby, Destiny, Josh, Travis, and Vallery. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a brother Troyce Dale Williams and sister-in-law, Barbara Williams.
Ray was a US Army Veteran. He retired from Remington Arms, Inc. after a long career in Operations Maintenance.
Visitation will be held at Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke, Arkansas on June 26, 9:30-11 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Pordue Cemetery, Onia, Stone County, Arkansas at 3 p.m. All family and friends are welcome. www.boydfuneralhome.net.
