Edgar F. Bartley, 91, of Little Rock passed to his heavenly home Monday, June 23, 2014. A native of Mt. Vernon, Ark., he was born on June 10, 1923 in Florida to the late Jesse R. and Lucy Ann (Keathley) Bartley. He was a member of the Windsong Church of Christ in Maumelle. Edgar served in the Army and retired from Sears. He loved his family, fishing, and playing golf. He is survived by his two grandsons, Chris Holyfield of Alexandria, Va., and Tyler Holyfield of St. Charles, Mo.; three brothers, Ellis Bartley (Jo) of Petersburg WV, Dale Bartley (Barbara) of Searcy, Ark., and Jimmy Bartley (Donna) of Mt. Vernon, Ark.; one sister, Patricia (Bartley) Keathley of Russellville, Ark.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Those preceding him in death include his wife of 66 years, Helen Marie (Stewart) Bartley; one daughter, Karen Sue (Bartley) Holyfield; his parents; two brothers, Eldon Bartley and Billy Joe Bartley; and three sisters, Anna Lee (Bartley) Rowlett, Margaret (Bartley) Hodge, and Helen (Bartley) Ballard. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014, with Brother John Gipson officiating at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. 72211 (501) 224-8300.
