Ruby Lee Griswood Franklin

Ruby Lee Griswood Franklin, 91, of Lake Village, Arkansas, formally of Pine Bluff, went to be with her Lord and Savior June 24th, 2014 in Little Rock, Ark. She was born December 3, 1922 to Ora Amma and John Baxter (JB) Griswood of Dermott Ark. Ms. Ruby taught for a while after her stint working in the aviation industry during WWII, raised a family, returned to work and retired in 1997 from NCTR. Ms. Ruby's hobby was church. She was a member of Bellaire Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School for 65 years to the toddlers, who were always her children. She was a gracious woman, who loved the Lord and her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Franklin; daughter's, Jeannie and Carla. She is survived by her son, Daniel Franklin of Charleston, S.C.; her daughter, Jana Rogers (David) of Little Rock, Ark. and six grandchildren, Daniel Stephen Franklin of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Amanda, Lauren, and Cassidy Franklin of Charlotte, North Carolina and Evan and Ashton Rogers of Texarkana, Texas; brother-in-law, Loyd Gray of Lake Village; family friend, Alice Allen, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, June 27th, 2014 at Bellaire Baptist Church, with service to follow at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Dermott Cemetery.
