Vickie S. Anderson claimed eternal victory over leukemia on June 23, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Vickie was born October 4, 1948 in Lubbock, Texas to Thurman (deceased) and Thelma Cowan. Her life is now celebrated by her loving mother, Thelma (Dallas, Texas); supportive husband and strongest advocate, Jim (Clearwater, Fla.); steadfast son, Mark (Darla) Burt and grandsons Mason and Davis who loved and were loved deeply by their "Mimi" (Jenks, Okla.); devoted daughter, Tracie Burt (Nixa, Mo.); sister, Linda Dozier (Lubbock, Texas); sister and best friend, Patricia (Jim) Smith (Lancaster, Texas); and other family, friends, and previous clients whose lives she touched. She was a Christian, Navy veteran, organic gardener, seamstress, cook, nationally ranked triathlete, water aerobics instructor, master massage therapist, and singer who will strengthen Heaven's soprano section. She lived with courage, tenacity, and vibrancy, and she died assured that Jesus would welcome her Home (John 14:2-4). The family will conduct a private memorial service. Donations may be made in Vickie's memory to "Be The Match" (https://bethematch.org/Support-the-Cause/Donate-financially/).
