Blake Whittington Harper

Blake Whittington Harper, whose passion for the game of baseball was legendary, died on June 22, 2014, at the age of 67. He had been suffering from a recent bout of cancer. Blake was the son of William Thomas Harper and Vivien Tatum Harper, both of whom preceded him in death. He graduated from Northside High School, where he excelled in vocal music and theatre and was a leader in many student organizations. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1969 and was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. Blake is survived by three siblings: William Thomas Harper, Jr, of Fort Smith and his wife Helen; Granville Harper, of Santa Barbara, California, and his wife Jill, and Katie Harper of Fort Smith. Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice. Arrangements for a celebration of Blake's life are pending.
