CATHERINE MILES EMBRY 92, of Little Rock, Ark. departed this life June 23, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Embry; son, James Earl Embry; parents, Paris and Sallie Miles; four brothers; and four sisters.
She was a member of the Virginia Ray Missionary Society, Stewardess Board, Sunday School, and the Catherine Embry Adult Choir.
She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Herman Embry; daughters, Margaret Trezvant, Joanne (Alton) Nichols; four sisters, Alice (Willie) West of Sacramento, Calif., Travistine Ackles of Los Angeles, Calif., Helen Copeland of Richmond, Calif., Cathleen Nelson of Little Rock, Ark.; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral: Saturday, July 5, 2014, 11 a.m., at Moody Chapel A.M.E. Church, Pastor Hezekiah Stewart Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Rest in Peace Hensley Ark. Viewing: Thursday, July 3, 2014, 1-5 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 S. Chester St. LR (501) 372-1305.
