Jessie May Wilson

Funeral services for Jessie May Wilson, 78 of Hollandale, Miss. will be 11 a.m. Monday June 30, 2014, at Smith Funeral Home in Greenville, Miss. She was called home to be with the Lord June 26, 2014, at Allegiance Specialty Hospital in Greenville, Miss. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday June 30, 2014, at Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Hollandale City Cemetery. Mrs. Wilson was born Feb. 29, 1936, in Lambert, Miss. to O.C. & Lee Opal Lancaster. She has been a lifelong resident of the Delta. She was a free spirited good hearted woman who never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents, O.C. & Lee Opal Lancaster; her step-mother, Mable Lancaster who raised her; her husband, John D. Gordon; she later married Joseph D. Wilson, who also preceded her in death; two sons, John Michael Wilson & Steve Clifton Wilson. She is survived by her two daughters, Cindy Bess and her husband, Mike of Conway, Ark., Pam Johnston and her husband, Gordon of La Grange, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Jerri Wilson of Wisconsin; two brothers, Tommy Lancaster of Starkville, Miss., John Lancaster of Flowood, Miss.; two sisters, Mary King of Grenada, Miss., Maude Jones of New Iberia, La.; nine grandchildren, Jason and Scott Bess of Conway, Ark., Wyatt and Winston Johnston of La Grange, Texas, Koryn, Kirsten, Devin, Garrett, Gillian Wilson of Wisconsin. Pastor Pam Johnston will officiate the service.
