Wife, sister, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, Marlyss Jostad passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2014. Marlyss was born in her home in Cotton, Minn. on July 29, 1929 and married Lloyd Jostad on Dec. 30, 1948, in Duluth, Minn. She once said the toughest winter she ever spent was one summer in Duluth. Owner-operators of The Fox Motel in Bald Knob, Ark. during the 1970's and then The Sands Motel in SW Little Rock, Ark. during the 1980's before retirement in Fort Collins. She was a great mom to three boys, Douglas and Kathie Jostad of Mount Ida, Ark., John and Din Tuttle-Jostad of Fort Collins, Colo., and Mark and Lisa Jostad of Rogers, Ark.; and a caring grandmother to eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. All of her grandchildren were fortunate to know her well. Her husband, children and grandchildren will join together to remember her life in a memorial service at the First United Methodist Church of Fort Collins on July 1, 2014, at 2 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church, or the charity of your choice in care of Vessey Funeral Service, 2649 E.
