Lou Thomason, 83, of Rogers, Arkansas, formerly of Fort Smith, Arkansas, has passed away. She was born April 24, 1930 at Hazel Creek, Missouri to the late Turk and Daisy Jinkerson. Our mother spent most of her life taking care of her children and grandchildren, as well as a fulfilling lifelong career spent caring for other's children - she had a loving, caring heart that touched so many people. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Thomason; two grandchildren, Wendy Hixson and Whitney Hixson; one special son in law, Doug Lane; four brothers and one sister. Lou is survived by one son, Ronald and wife, Betty of Fort Smith, Ark.; three daughters, Debbie Holmes, and husband, Ed of Rogers, Ark., Monica Smith, and husband, Cameron of Rogers, Ark. and Carla Herren, and husband, Scott of Rogers, Ark. Lou is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Visitation was held Friday, February 28, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers, Arkansas. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Pine Mountain Church in Bee Branch, Ark. with Carl Thomason officiating. Pallbearers: Cameron Smith, Jay Forbes, Ed Holmes, Matt Terrones, Chris Bartholomew, and Ryan Cook. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations sent to Circle of Life Hospice Home, 1201 NE Legacy Pkwy, Bentonville, Arkansas 72712 in Lou's honor.
