John Jefferson Gaunt Jr.

John Jefferson Gaunt Jr., Lt Col., USAF, Retired, 76, passed away in Grass Valley, Calif., on Feb. 25, 2014 from complications of lymphoma. John was a 1955 graduate of Central High School in Little Rock as well as a graduate in the first graduating class of the United States Air Force Academy in 1959 in Colorado Springs. After retiring from the United States Air Force, he worked in the wine industry in northern California. He is survived by his wife, Lynne Gaunt; his daughter, Kathleen Hoover; his son, John Jefferson Gaunt III; grandsons, Austin Hoover and Conner Hoover; and granddaughter, Samantha Gaunt; and his brother, William Gaunt.
