ROSE MARIE MILLER, 84, of Little Rock was born March 10, 1929 at St. Vincent, Ark. She was the oldest of nine children born to Michael and Marie Ridling Miller. She died at her home surrounded by family on Feb. 28, 2014. She was employed at St. Vincent Infirmary, Southwestern Bell, and co-owner of Arrow Printing. She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church, Holy Souls Seniors, AARP, Cursillo, St. Edwards Mother's Sodality, and one of the founding members of Birthright of Greater Little Rock. Rose Marie married Henry Walter Miller Jr. on Nov. 13, 1948 at Good Counsel Church. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Henry; as well as her parents; daughter, Elizabeth Miller Jones; sister, Margaret Miller Tantalo; brother, Matthias; and brothers-in-law, Henry Tantalo, Carl Paladino, Alfred Thomas, Allen Roberts, and Andy Rossi. She leaves behind to cherish her memory the following: children, Dr. Henry Michael (Carol Healy), Robert (Claudia Parks), Cynthia Stabnick (Pete), Margaret McGinness (Mark), Stephen; and son-in-law, Ricky Jones; grandchildren, Peter Stabnick (Erin), Susanne and Julia Stabnick, Lauren Jones Parsons (Logan), Adam Jones, Katherine and Jacob McGinness, and Emily Miller; great-grandson, Brice Stabnick; step-grandchildren, Christopher, Jeffrey, and Jason Junge; brothers, Mike (Jenwyl), Carl (Beatrice) and Jim (Becky); sisters, Theresa Thomas of Russellville, Jo Paladino Rossi and Imelda Roberts; godchildren, Joseph Albert Bradley, Charles Miller, Patricia Wheeler, Mary Virginia Binz Miller, Hilary Hubbard, Donna Roberts Smith, and Tiffany Crim. She loved to cook, garden, read, travel (especially to Pensacola Beach), and researched, wrote and published her family histories. Rose Marie could strike up a conversation with anyone – she never met a stranger. She was devoted to her faith, family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 3, 2014 at Holy Souls Church with Father Erik Pohlmeier, celebrant. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. today (Sunday) at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock (501) 661-9111. A Rosary service will follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorials may be made in her honor to Holy Souls School or Church, Mount St. Mary Academy, Catholic High School for Boys, and the Carmelite Nuns.
