Carl W. Lyles, 75 of Hot Springs, Ark. went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 1, 2014. He was born on Oct. 4, 1938 in Little Rock, Ark. to the late James E. and Anna Lyles. He served in the Army National Guard for nine years. He retired as a supervisor from Lucent Technologies (Teletype) after 32 years of service. He loved working in the yard, mowing grass and talking to people about the good old days. He never met a stranger and was willing to help everyone. He was a wonderful husband and father. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Lyles, Jimmy Daunis; sister, Rosa Lee Hall; three aunts, Alma Babbitt, Elsie White and Mildred Daunis; one uncle, Roy White. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Eileen (Shorty) Lyles; two sons, Wesley Lyles of Rogers, Ark. and Phillip Lyles of Little Rock; sister-in-law, Winnie Lyles of Benton; siblings, David Daunis (Gerry) of Washington and Genny Coletta (David ) of Illinois. Funeral services will be held at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Bro. Wayne Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest.
