Mary Jane Covington Moix, 70, of Conway passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014. She was born Sept. 29, 1943, in Pine Bluff, Ark. to the late George W. Covington and Fannie Virginia (Moffet) Covington. Mary Jane was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Conway. A graduate of Conway High School, she continued her education at Arkansas State Teachers College where she received her master's degree in counseling. Being a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority Mary Jane enjoyed her time in college. After college Mary Jane was employed with the Arkansas Department of Human Services where she worked for 18 years. She also co-founded Moix Furniture Gallery and Moix RV where she worked tirelessly for over 30 years. Mary Jane enjoyed holding multiple offices in Beta Sigma Phi which she had been an active member since 1972. She also was the past president of the Conway Jaycettes. Mary Jane thoroughly enjoyed traveling and camping, scrapbooking, cooking, shopping and spending time with her beloved family at Greers Ferry. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Mary Jane is survived by her husband of 49 years, Frank Martin Moix Sr.; two sons, Dr. Frank "Martin" Moix Jr. and wife Jennifer, Michael Scott Moix and wife Mylissa, all of Conway; sister, Virginia Battles and husband Bobby of Conway; brother, George E. Covington Sr. and wife Janette of Conway; four grandchildren, Elise, Candace, Marlaina, and Mason; aunt, Hetty Moffet of Mountain View; as well as multiple nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at First United Methodist Church in Conway with Dr. Michael Roberts and Rev. Lynn Kilbourne officiating. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers: George E. Covington, Jason S. Covington, Richard A. Battles, Monty L. Moix, Bradley S. Barnett, Jimmy L. Carroll.
