Dorothy Kee Walker passed away March 2, 2014. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 23, 1924 to Harry and Amy Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Arthur Johnson, and husbands, Vernon B. Kee and Fred Walker. Dorothy attended Wright Jr. College in Chicago and worked for the Chicago Transit Authority. In 1946 she achieved her dream job by becoming an airline stewardess for Chicago and Southern Airlines. At one time Dorothy was a member of a coed synchronized swim team, a Campfire counselor in Michigan, Girl Scout Leader, and President of the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary. She also worked at the Arkansas State Legislature as a clerk in the Senate Chamber until 1994. Dorothy was a 30 year breast cancer survivor. She loved to travel and enjoyed many trips abroad over the years. She was an avid bridge player and made many close friends over the card table. "Wild Bunch" you know about that. Survivors include daughters, Lorna Glover (Steve) and Sandra Brown (Mark), grandchildren, Lyndsey Twidwell (Jay), Elliott Brown and Haley Brown, great grandchildren, Kylie, Shaun, Reagan and Jeremiah. Other survivors include nieces, Joann Knight, Lynn Johnson and Gayle Labor, nephews, Terry Kee, Richard Johnson, Steve Kee, Mark Kee and one cousin, Jim Halvorsen of San Francisco, California. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society or the Little Rock Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary.
