Barbara Ann Wood

Barbara Ann Wood, 74, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at her residence in McGehee, Arkansas. Barbara was born May 21, 1939, in Dermott, Arkansas to the late Herman and Reba Lee Sass. She attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Barbara was a former Hospital Administrator at McGehee Hospital for many years. She had worked at McGehee Bank and was also, former Desha County Court Clerk. She was very active with many civic organizations and was a member at First Baptist Church in McGehee, Arkansas. Survivors include her husband, Henry Wood of McGehee, Ark.; sons, Hubert Lynn Cash, Jr. of Little Rock, AR, William Alan (Kathey) Cash of Clinton, Ark., and Henry Joel (Amanda) Wood of Shawnee, OK; daughters, Ramona Lynn (Larry) Miles of McGehee, Ark. and April LaDon (Lee) Shaw of Perry, Ga.; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, Ark Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014 at First Baptist Church of McGehee, Ark. with Reverend Kenny Culpepper officiating. Burial will be at Dermott Cemetery in Dermott, AR. In lieu of flowers and at the request of Mrs. Wood's family, memorials may be made to the McGehee Hospital Foundation, P.O.
