David John Brown Jr.

DAVID JOHN BROWN JR., 76 of Jacksonville died Friday, March 7, 2014. He was born May 31, 1937 in Upper Darby, Pa. to the late David John Brown Sr. and Leona Kuonen Brown Motley. Mr. Brown retired from the Carlton Bates Company after 35 years and began to travel. The Brown family traveled by RV and enjoyed camping. Mr. Brown's favorite trip was the two and a half months they spent in Alaska. He loved to photograph bears on his trips and often approached them to get the photo while Mrs. Brown watched for the mother bear. Mr. Brown was a member of Life Fellowship Church in Jacksonville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Tuggle; and son-in-law, Randy Buchanan. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Dorothy Lewis Brown; his children, Debra Buchanan of Austin, Danny Brown (Cathy) of Bryant and Denise Martin (Scott) of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Matthew Buchanan, Bradley Buchanan, Brittni Brown, Zackary Brown, Samantha Lemke (Jon), Kristina Martin, Katie Martin, Jennifer Ferrell (Shawn) and Misha Buchanan; as well as six great-grandchildren.
