JAMES HUPFER, age 90, of Little Rock died March 4, 2014. The eldest child of Herbert and Laura (Baade) Hupfer, he was born in Pierre, S.D. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Judy; brother, Max, of Annapolis, Md.; nephew, Daniel Hupfer of Springfield, Va.; and several cousins. He was a WWII veteran and served in the SW Pacific and the initial occupation of Japan. He worked in Chicago 10 years, and in 1961 was transferred to Ft. Smith. He retired from the Aegon Insurance Company. He enjoyed playing tennis. In earlier years, he and Judy enjoyed traveling by RV and camping in Arkansas State Parks.
