Bobby Gene Horton

Bobby Gene Horton, 80 of DeWitt, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014. Bobby was born Dec. 3, 1933 in Ethel, Ark. to the late Johnny and Nixie (Cochran) Horton. He is also preceded in death by wife, Gladys (Hockett) Horton. Bobby was raised on a small farm and went on to serve two years in the US Navy. He ran a full-service gas station in Farmersville, Texas for a number of years. He is survived by daughter, Karen McKee and husband Jimmy and their son, Connor, of Murphy, Texas; sister, Helen Hornbeck of DeWitt; and brothers, Paul Horton and Sidney Horton of DeWitt. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 at Arkansas Funeral Care, 2620 W. Main St., Jacksonville. Burial will be in Texas at a later date. www.arkansasfuneralcare.com.
