Joe Wayne Gilbert

Joe Wayne Gilbert 72 of Bauxite, our father has gone home, to be with Jesus on March 10, 2014. He was born on May 4, 1941 to Vernon and Edith Gilbert in Little Rock, Arkansas. Joe was a lifetime member of Freedom Worship Center and was the owner and operator of Gilberts Landscaping for over 40 years. He was the President of Happy Trails Riding Club and he loved to work mules and trail riding. Joe is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, JC Gilbert, Buddy Gilbert and Larry Gilbert; sister, Sharon Chandler and nephew, Doug Gilbert. He is survived by his sons, Kenny Gilbert and his wife Sheila and Henry Asher; daughter, Eva Willis and her husband Tony; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister, Faye Brown; eight nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 12 noon at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
