Berniece G. Duffey

Berniece G. Duffey, 83, of Little Rock, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Virginia Grooms, her husband of 62 years, Alvin Duffey, and daughter, Deborah Stone. She is survived by a brother, Gary Grooms and wife Lois of Little Rock; brother-in-law, Chester Duffey and wife Judy of Quitman; sister-in-law, Billie Jean Staley of Little Rock; two grandsons, Chris Stone and wife Kate and Andrew Stone, all of Little Rock; and three great-granddaughters, Cady, Hannah and Zooey. She loved teaching and was a substitute teacher at Christ the King Catholic School for 15 years. She enjoyed taking trips with her friends and family and spending time with her grandkids. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, Monsignor Francis I. Malone as Celebrant. Interment will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Rosary service will be Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. with visitation to follow till 9:00 p.m. at Christ the King.
