Hilton Holmes

Hilton Holmes, 95, of Searcy, passed away March 7, 2014. He was born July 3, 1918, in Judsonia to the late Harvey Holmes and Alpha Hilton Holmes. After retiring from Civil Service at the Long Beach Navel Shipyards in California, he and his late wife, Rae Holmes, sold their real estate and travelled the United States for several years in their motor home. He is survived by two sons, Pat Holmes (Jeri) of California, Harvey Holmes (Betty) of Georgia and seven grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence Holmes of Judsonia; three sisters, Bonna Lea Martin of Grapevine, Nancy Taylor of Rose Bud and Pat Vaughn of Virginia. Cremation arrangements are by Powell Funeral Home of Searcy. No services are scheduled. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
